Lessons

Alexander Technique lessons are enjoyable and safe. Students wear comfortable clothing that doesn’t limit movement. Each student learns to apply this profound and sophisticated mind-body technique to any activity or situation.

In a lesson, I will use a light touch and suggestions to help you release habitual tension as you do different activities (sit, stand, walk, etc.). You re-learn how to move without the usual muscle tightness. You soon sit and stand, seemingly without any effort. Everything is much easier. This is how you used to move — before bad habits started to take over.

Part of each lesson also includes “Constructive Rest,” lying on a massage table while the teacher helps the student to expand, release and learn how to remain quiet throughout their body. Students typically feel lightness, effortlessness and calm from Constructive Rest.

Lessons are 45 minutes long. After the first 4 lessons, I’ll send you a text of two or three Alexander Technique ideas you can incorporate until the next lesson.
